Chi-Ham: Hamster Hunt · Android game

Effective September 27, 2026

This policy explains what information is used when you play Chi-Ham: Hamster Hunt and how it is handled.

Information used for online play

Online multiplayer sends your chosen nickname, team, character appearance, room code, and game activity (such as movement and game status) to the game server at stephenramsay.com. This information is needed to create and join rooms and keep the game in sync. There are no player accounts, direct messages, or public profiles.

Other people in your room can see your nickname, character, and in-game activity. If a host makes a room public, its room code, host nickname, and player counts may appear in the public room list. You can use a made-up nickname and should not enter personal or sensitive information as your nickname.

When your device connects to the online service, the web server may also receive your IP address and basic request details, such as the time and type of request, as part of normal internet hosting and security logs.

Information stored on your device

The game saves your appearance and music/sound preferences in the app’s local web storage. During an online session it temporarily stores a room session token so it can communicate with that room. Leaving the room removes the saved session. You can remove locally stored preferences by clearing the app’s storage in Android settings.

If you tap the room-code copy button, the app copies that code to your device clipboard.

How information is used and kept

Game information is used to operate multiplayer rooms and is not used for advertising or cross-app tracking. The app does not include advertising or analytics software. Room data is temporary; inactive room records are eligible for automatic cleanup, though they may remain on the server until that cleanup runs. The hosting provider may keep security logs according to its own retention practices.

Sharing

Room information is shared with the players in that room and processed by the game’s web hosting and database service. We do not sell personal information. The app does not send game data to advertising or analytics services.

Permissions and children

The Android app needs internet access for online multiplayer. It does not request access to your location, camera, microphone, contacts, or photos. The game does not require an account or ask for contact details. Children should choose a nickname that does not identify them.

Your choices and questions

You can play practice mode without joining an online room. You can choose a private room, leave a room, or clear app storage to remove local preferences. For privacy questions, contact the developer through stephenramsay.com.
